Subject: Mountain Flying Clinic, Alpine
The Mountain Flying Clinic in Alpine, Texas will be held April 29, 30, and May 1, 2016. More details and the registration process will be released later, but for now, I wanted to get a little advance info out to potentially interested parties.
In addition to Mountain Flying Trainees, we will need to identify High Bird crews (Transport Mission Pilots,Observers,Scanners all qualify), van drivers, Safety Pilots, those needing re-qualifying sorties, and mission staff. As in recent years, the Hampton Inn – Alpine will be our mission base. Hotel rooms are at your expense but we have a block of rooms being held for Civil Air Patrol at the Hampton Inn – Alpine. If you are planning to participate, you might want to reserve a room now before the hotel fills (432- 837-7344).
Another announcement will be sent once we have the Ops Plan and Mission number established, and details about the registration for the mission itself. We will NOT be using the old CAPF17a.
This is a great training opportunity and a wonderful event, in a Spectacular Location, with members from across the Wing. (Note that this is a Sr Member event…..cadets do not participate.)
