PREREQUISITES:
1. STUDENT MUST BE 15 YEARS OF AGE
To be held at Converse College, Spartanburg, SC, this school will cover all the requirements of the FAA Written Exam, with classes being taught by high-time former commercial and military pilots. Applicants should be aware that although we will consider younger students, the FAA does not permit solo flight under the age of 16. This will be an intense academic experience, with the focus on preparing the student to pass the FAA written exam. Completion of a short pre-course program will be expected and individual coaching will be available throughout the week. Uniform will be base-ball cap & tee shirt (issued), tan slacks or shorts and black shoes. Blues and BDU’S will not be required. A complete equipment list will be sent to all applicants in due course.
With certain limitations, this program is also open to aviation minded teens from from other programs: Naval Sea Cadets, all branches of JROTC, Explorers, Scouts, etc. For further information on non-CAP participation will be posted when available.
