Squadron Leadership School (SLS) provides CAP’s adult members with a basic understanding of CAP operations at the squadron level and how those operations affect CAP’s national missions. Additionally, members learn more about CAP customs, core values, and communications. Case studies, discussion, and group assignments are integral facets of the SLS.
Squadron Leadership School is the required Professional Development course for Level II: Technical Training. More information and the course syllabus is available at: http://www.capmembers.com/cap_university/level-ii-technical-training/. The class handouts are also available on this page and should be downloaded or printed by the student.
Students enrolling in the course will need a CAPF17 (Application for Senior Member Activities) signed by their Squadron Commander either printed or in electronic format (forwarded to the course director) and a CAPF161 (Emergency Information) with them at the time of the course. CAPIDs will also be verified.
Preferred class attire is Class B, White Aviator Shirt, or Blue Polo combination. If these are not available, appropriate civilian clothing is acceptable. BDU/ABU and Flight Suits are not acceptable!
